Rhamnus frangula ‘Asplenifolia’

After a long summer vacation and the back-to-school rush, I finally have time to look at plants again.  This fine-leaved Buckthorn has tiny white flowers in spring, miniscule red fruits in summer, but really shines as its foliage turns gold in autumn.  I don’t think I need one, but I can appreciate its form and color … perhaps if it is well shaped, and kept in a pot.
